Designated Historic Landmarks

Eugene Hodges House and Farm have been owned and operated by the Hodges family for more than a century. 

The N. S. Alexander House anchored the farming operations of Neal Somers Alexander, a descendant of the early settler Hezekiah Alexander. 

The Robinson Rock House Ruin constitutes the final remains of a house likely constructed over 200 years ago. 

The Stafford-Holcombe Farm was once part of the 2,300-acre landholdings of Irish immigrant James Stafford.

The W. B. Newell House is the sole remaining home of one of the founders of the rural Newell community. 

White Oak was the family home of a veteran of the Battle of Kings Mountain that prompted British forces to evacuate Mecklenburg County. 

The Abernethy House was once the centerpiece of the farm that supported the operations of Sundale Dairies. 

One of Charlotte’s first neighborhood parks, Bryant Park has served Wilmore and Wesley Heights residents for more than eighty years.
