Mecklenburg County Public Health celebrates 50th Edible Landscape built
https://health.mecknc.gov/event/mecklenburg-county-public-health-celebrates-50th-edible-landscape-built
Mecklenburg County Public Health is celebrating the 50th Edible Landscape built in the county with an event at the first Edible Landscape – Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. The 50th Edible Landscape location is at Habitat for Humanity. Edible Landscapes is a program that establishes community gardens and orchards to provide fresh fruits and vegetables in food insecure neighborhoods. As additional landscapes continue to be installed, this 50th milestone marks not only the number of builds but the growing impact of shared stewardship and collective action in addressing food security across the county.
