About the Awards

The County's Office of Management and Budget has won several awards from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and National Association of Counties (NACo).

  • GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation

Awarded to government entities whose annual budget document aligns with industry best practices as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communication tool. In addition, OMB has received special recognition for its reporting of Performance Measures, Strategic Goals & Strategies, and the Budget Process.

  • GFOA Awards for Excellence

    Government Finance Officers Association logo

Recognizes innovative programs that exemplify outstanding financial management. OMB has received three of these awards since 2018: Budget Monitoring & Reporting Process (2018), Budget Public Engagement (2020), and the Community Service Grant Program (2024). This award is prestigious, with only 44 awards from the US and Canada granted since 2019.

  • NACo Achievement Awards

    National Association of Counties logo

Recognizes innovative county government programs covering a wide spectrum of county responsibilities. OMB received two of these awards in 2014 for the Budget Evaluation Scoring Tool (BEST) and Budget Dashboards. Each of these programs has since been sunset in favor of other solutions, demonstrating OMB's innovation in our field.
